Who We Are

As a solely owned independent clinic, we are proud and committed to bring you the highest quality in service and products untampered by parent companies or chains.  We strive to provide you the service we would provide our own family. For every problem there is a solution. Our services are geared to provide quality, comprehensive care whether you are a child with an eye turn or young adult with fatigue and eyestrain from computer work or a senior with macular degeneration. On top that, we wanted the Town of Cary to be a place where you can see an eye doctor any day of the week by opening in the weekends for your convenience. If you are already a patient at Eye Solutions, we want to say thank you for placing your trust in us. If you aren’t a patient yet, we hope you’ll give us the opportunity to earn that trust.

Hakkam Alsaidi has been living in beautiful North Carolina since the age of 8 years old. Dr. Alsaidi obtained doctorate of optometry from Nova Southeastern University and returned to practice where he grew up in. He has actively engaged in civil and community services from mentoring troubled kids from dropping out in high school, to running charity events for devastated national and global communities in college, to being SGA president for his optometry class and help run food drives for the homeless. His favorite work is during his second year in college during a medical trip to Patna, Bihar. He collected over 700 pairs of glasses and enough funds to cover 40 cataract surgeries for those that were blind from cataracts but could not afford the surgery. During the lockdown of COVID-19 in March of 2020, Dr. Alsaidi was one of a very few eye doctors that kept the clinic open to handle eye urgencies and emergencies in order to alleviate busy hospitals from receiving those patients.

Dr. Alsaidi won best optometrist for the year of 2019 with Up and Coming Weekly. He now sits in the Board of Health for Cumberland County which oversees $23 million of annual government sponsored medical aid for that county.

In addition to providing primary care and contact lens fitting, Dr. Alsaidi treats Dry Eye Syndrome, Glaucoma and manages Macular Degeneration along with ocular manifestations of systemic medical conditions such as Diabetes, Hypertension, inflammatory conditions, etc. Dr. Alsaidi has served over 10,000 patients in his career.

Education:
Graduated Cum Lauda with Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Carolina University.
Doctorate of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
Professional affiliation with American Optometric Association and the North Carolina State Optometric Society

Dr. Alsaidi enjoys spending time with his family, swimming and enjoying the great outdoors.
